I go to New India Bazar, San Jose on weekly basis. The staff is so friendly, helping and courteous. Sardarji at the check out counter is always ready to help if I can't find anything. No matter how busy the check out is he will promptly answer everything.I love this place where they treat customers so well.
I love this place. The produce selection is GREAT ! They sell ready to eat Indian fair, that is super yummy and well priced!! I like the samosas that are kept warm in the front (near cash registers) Samosas are self serve.
This is our go to grocery store for last 4 years. Excellent deals on some of the produce . They do have weekend sales . Do sign up for mobile offers . They send notifications on Friday for weekend deals . We mostly buy Indian veggies , lentils , snacks , yogurt from here . This is not the best place to get fruits. Only fruit that we geberal it get are bananas. Prefer Costco for fruit. They have decent prices for non perishable items like rice , flour , grains etc ,. Early in the morning when they open might be the best time to visit the store as it can get pretty busy later especially on weekends . They have another location in milpitas but this one in Santa Clara is frankly much better . They do offer grocery delivery via their site store2k.com if order us more than 50 . Price may vary compared to in store. I have used their delivery service during pandemic and wasn't disappointed. They do need 1 day heads up for grocery delivery
They expended have he place so it's a lot nicer both on the eyes and crowdedness Hair dye purchased they have many , many condiments for Indian food and some hot food items as well. Drinks of all types and cooking utensils and items for Indian style cooking! I took a few photos!
Initially when I came new to Bay Area those days there were only few options for Indian groceries , now staying here for more then 2 decades I have been to many Indian grocery stores some were good & some ok.... have seen lots of changes happening in Bay Area since then.... At least now there are loads of Indian Grocery Store to choose from... options are endless wether u stay in San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View , Fremont, Pleasanton etc..... I always prefer going to New India Bazaar specifically to this location at Santa Clara (even before they expanded the store). I am always happy shopping here. It's always clean which is extremely important for me I hate going to unhygienic & stinky stores especially for groceries/ vegetables. They are always well stocked, have fresh vegetables lots of options for Indian products like biscuits, Tea , savory items, spices, pickles, Ghee, Indian Wheat Flour, Indian Rice varieties, Different types of Pulses & Grains and many other items.... They have a whole freezer section full of various brands of Yogurt, frozen veggies, frozen snacks , Indian sweets, Indian Ice creams, batter for Idli & Dosas etc... Staff are very helpful wether it's at the checkout counter or at the vegetable counter... many times I have asked for help to find something specific as per my requirements & always they are very happy to help. I love that I have lots of options here while shopping especially when something is on sale!!! It's so nice to go to the store especially during festival time like Holi, Durga Puja, Diwali to see all the festive food & decorations. They put lovely Bollywood songs , devotional songs/ prayer chantings which makes the whole shopping experience calm & relaxing. It's A Home Away from Home for me !!!!
